OK, we have a TV, cable box and TiVo...we are trying to hook up a DVD/VCR player/RECORDER so we can burn our TiVo shows we want to keep to DVD.  We can get it to play DVD's thru Input 1.  TiVo is on Input 2, Nothing on Input 3, then there is Channel 3 which has cable but no box(I think).  We need the recorder to record what is on Input 2...and are not having any luck.  Basically, in my head, the Recorder needs to just record whatever is being seen on the TV screen...Is this something that is solvable thru the forum or do I have to find someone to come and look at the setup?  Would I go to a "Home Theatre" place and find a technician?  We also have a Receiver with lots of inputs on the back that is not being used.  Would that help?  I know, I know...a lot to ask.

Hi Winebrat:

How about giving me a call on 570-992-2992 whenever you're in front of all this stuff, and I'll see if I can help you remotely, and save you the cost of a home visit.
