Living in PA and looking to get my taxes done

Hello, I am fairly new here in PA. I work in Jersey and my wife works in the city. We got our taxes done last year for the 1st time as a married couple and also living in PA for the 1st year. I have a friend of the family who did our taxes and is a CPA but he lives in Jersey and I am not comfortable that he knows all the tax rules between states and also was wondering if we are receiving all the benefits that we could possibly have coming back to us.....(even though he doesnt charge us for his services) LOL
PLEASE HELP! :)
