Hi Johnice:
I looked through the instruction manual for that camera, and nothing is jumping out as being able to change the file format "on the fly." I believe there's a setting in the setup software where you get to choose the format.
Take a look at

and click on "advanced user guide" link... the second one.

i'll let you know, it is also possible that .jpeg is the ONLY format for this model,i know KODAK does that.
